Michael Waters is an experienced creator of original and effective communications. His career stretches from performing musician before his teens, to young filmmaker, to senior ad agency creative and commercial producer to president of a renowned LA postproduction company.

Michael wrote, directed and produced national and regional broadcast advertising for major agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, BBDO, Dailey & Associates, DMB&B and clients including Toyota, Honda Motorcycles, Sizzler and Southern California Ford, California Lottery, Nestlè, Safeway, Union 76 and many others.

Between advertising assignments, Michael has always pursued his primary passion, story-telling in the form of fiction and screen writing. With writing partner Richard Huvard, he worked in story development for Carolco Pictures in its heyday. The team penned screenplays for Carolco and director Tom Holland, Todd AO/TEA and Twentieth Century Fox among many others.

He was a founding principal and president of ARTiFACT, prominent Los Angeles post-production, design and interactive production company. As creative director for a small Colorado agency, he wrote and directed literally hundreds of hard-hitting retail tv and radio commercials for national automotive dealer association clients like NW Toyota Dealers and Honda Dealers of the Carolinas.

Michael holds a degree from Iowa State University, where he did not become an engineer, and owes his uncanny flexibility to the School of Yoga in Houston.
